Dragon Ball (|89;}21;|68;}31;}08;}40;}23;, Doragon B!3;ru?) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It was originally serialized in Weekly Sh!3;nen Jump from 1984 through 1995, and later the 519 individual chapters were published into 42 tank!3;bon volumes by Shueisha. Inspired by the Chinese folk novel Journey to the West, it follows the adventures of Son Goku from his childhood through middle age as he trains in martial arts and explores the world in search of the seven mystical objects known as the Dragon Balls, which are known to grant any wish. Along his trip, Goku meets several friends and fights against several villains who plan to get the Dragon Balls to grant their wishes and some who aim to conquer the world.

Fue publicado en la revista semanal Sh!3;nen Jump entre 1984 y 1995 y se editó en 42 Tank!3;bon; en España fue publicado por la editorial Planeta DeAgostini entre 1995 y 1998, y en México por el Grupo Editorial Vid. Este manga fue adaptado en 2 series de anime, de las cuales se derivaron varias películas y especiales de televisión; además luego de terminar su publicación, Toei Animation hizo una historia alternativa llamada Dragon Ball GT que continúa más allá del final de manga.
